Midwife
Jenna Gallegos BSM,CPM,LM
My name is Jenna. I live in Southern California. My greatest pride is being a mother and my passion is supporting birthing families.
I knew I wanted to be a midwife from an early age after witnessing my mom’s home birth. I personally discovered the sacred beauty within birth with my daughters’ births. This experience motivated me to take action to ensure I’d be able to guide families through one of their most important, life-changing events. I’ve obtained my Bachelor of Science in Midwifery (BSM) from Midwives College of Utah.
I value the importance of shared decision making, education, and emotional support. My mission goes beyond catching babies. I stand by the belief that midwife culture should prioritize a safe space where diverse families are cared for by diverse midwives.
Birth Assistant
yAMI GALLEGOS
My path in birth work began in 2000, It was trial by fire, I was asked to help my very close friend through her labor. Seeing birth from the other side was both shocking and healing. I did not know that birth, which to that point had felt isolating and traumatic to me, were the cultural norm. I did not know that us as women had choices in the way we planned to birth. So my passion grew and I attended more friends’ births. After attending my fourth birth (with the same midwife) she said you should become a birth assistant. This concept changed my life as I always knew I had a purpose to help women and I had finally found it, she allowed me the opportunity to learn by her side and taught me everything about labor and birth, I quickly became her 1st assistant and helped deliver over 100 babies.

Choosing to have a baby is a life-changing decision, and the way you choose to give birth is just as important. I personally had two hospital birth, I thought that giving birth in a hospital was the only option available. However, now that I am aware of midwifery care, I'm eager to help families who are choosing to have their babies at home.
Our team takes the time to get to know you and your needs and we work with you to create a birthing plan that aligns with your preferences. As a birth assistant, I am committed to supporting families, in efforts to create a positive and empowering birth experience. I work closely with midwives and other birth professionals to help ensure that your labor and delivery goes as smoothly as possible. From providing emotional support to helping with practical tasks, I am here to help. If you are considering midwifery care for your pregnancy and birth, I encourage you to explore your options and learn more about the benefits it can offer.

ON-CALL
MIDWIFE/Birth assist.
At Belly to Birth we prioritize the well-being of everyone involved in the birthing process. Having two birth assistants at the birth is a great way to ensure safety and comfort. However, it is understandable that birth workers have unpredictable schedules, which is why we have several assistants on call.
Midwife Jenna graduated Magna Cum Laude from Midwives College of Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery.
